Sightsmap.com application has given us a map showing the most photographed places on earth. The data is pulled from the photo sharing website, panoramio which is used by millions of people every day to upload their photos. Anything from holiday snaps to professional work can be found on here; many of them being geo tagged.

The actual ranking was made up of 15,000 cities. This tag data was mapped by the Sights map and the put on a heat map which showed the more photographed to have a brighter signature. All of the data is current in 2014.
